Case 1. Clinical presentation. A: physical presentation before (top) and 6 years after the reconstructive surgery (bottom). The pathological fracture caused marked facial asymmetry (top left) and an orocutaneous fistula had also formed (top right). The surgery eliminated the orocutaneous fistula and brought lasting improvement in the patient’s facial symmetry. B: preoperative status- the floor of the mouth protrudes because of the extreme atrophy and the lack of keratinised gingiva. C: status at the 6-year follow-up. No signs of inflammation or pocket formation around implants
