The CBCT (C) and panoramic radiograph (D) of a 73-year-old female with septa <5 mm undergoing preoperative planning for implantation of a left maxillary molar. The septa in the two patients are clearly visualized on CBCT (A and C). However, the septa >5 mm are visualized on panoramic radiographs (B), but those <5 mm are not (D).
